The Daily Energy Insider reports on a new loan funding program worth $200 Million will soon be available through the United States Department of Agriculture.

Assistant to the Secretary for Rural Development Anne Hazlett recently announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is providing $200 million in loans to cooperatives and utilities in 10 states to help improve and expand rural electric infrastructure.

Idaho is on the List

Though Idaho is among the 10 states guaranteed loans for grid development, the loan distributions are designated for Utilities and Cooperatives in rural sectors.
