I own a Philippine 1911 .45 caliber pistol and I carry on occasion especially in remote property areas. I can’t say I like it, but the necessity to carry in public appears to be on the rise. Researcher, John R. Lott, Jr., in The Washington Times article below believes the rise in carry permits is due “in part to fears of stricter sales controls” according to Journalist, Sherfinski.
